Seagull Recommends 22/07
Hello and welcome back to Seagull Recommends! Team Seagull had the best time at Trans Pride at the weekend: friends of The Seagull DJ Girlfag, Ocarina, and Vlad Von Kitsch were real highlights for us at the afterparty, and we firmly believe that every club night from now on needs a low light, starlit room with beanbags.
If you come across anything coming up in the city that you think we should know about, let us know!

🎨Tattoos: Some members of Team Seagull have been tattooed at Our Haus in Hove recently. It's a beautiful, inclusive space full of talented artists, and they've just held a Trans Pride flash day to support several fundraisers for artists' surgeries. They all have some really incredible art, we really recommend checking them out.
🇯🇵Summer Festival: This Sunday, Hanabi is holding a Japanese Summer Fest Market in Jubilee Square. From 11am to 6pm, immerse yourself in the vibrant sights, sounds, and tastes of Japan with Japanese food, arts and crafts, snacks and fairground games. No tickets, just show up!
🎯Family Fun Day: On Saturday ACORN is holding a family fun day at The Bevy from 2-6pm. They'll be organising local residents to stop the council from using bailiffs to collect council tax, plus there will be games for kids, a raffle with prizes, and live music (tickets).
🥪Food: Our deputy editor had lunch at Baked AM/PM:
Ooh! Yeah! It's got a really nice vibe, very open and airy, nice in the hot weather. The halloumi focaccia was real good and the coffee was nice. Uhh. Nice big windows for the nice weather. And very nice staff!
☕️Drink: Our editor went to Nord in Hove:
Excellent coffee, very good cardamom buns, and the menu looks so good too. Oh they do delivery? That's dangerous knowledge to have. They have this sun-dried tomato focaccia which looks delicious, and they have vegan chokladboll which is a really good Swedish like oat ball covered in coconut. And it's just very pretty inside the cafe too.
