🎶Gigs: Alt rock/dirty pop Sussex quartet shallow honey are at The Pipeline tonight. Expect some very good, grungey, riffy, nineties-inspired, female-fronted rock. Absolutely one to watch this year (tickets)!

🎭Theatre: Starting today and running for 10 weeks is New Venture Youth Theatre's weekly workshops for 12-17 year olds. Every week from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, budding actors will be taught a range of skills led by trained drama specialists working in the field, including physical theatre, improvisation, text work, and devising. It costs £50 for the term, is based out of the New Venture Theatre in Bedford Place, and the first session can be tried out for free. Get in contact via [email protected]

😌Community Wellness Day: On Monday, Switchboard is hosting a community wellness day for members of the LGBTQ+ community who may be struggling with the cost of living crisis and winter blues. They will be offering free self care activities such as massage, haircuts and nails, a clothes swap, as well as workshops and activities such as yoga, meditation and crafts, with music and food in the evening. There will be a quiet room, and the first hour of the event will be a quiet hour. There is also a hot vegetarian, vegan or gluten free meal available for everyone who attends. The event will take place at Ironworks on Cheapside from 2-8pm. Contact [email protected] if you have any questions!

🎨Collage Club: Collage Club with Cult Milk returns to The Hope and Ruin on Tuesday! The night is free courtesy of The Hope and Ruin, and happens every first and third Tuesday of the month. Drop-in between 6-9pm but get down early to guarantee a seat and a table. Bring a magazine to donate, they provide all the other bits like paper, glue and scissors. It's all about unwinding and having fun whilst collaging, no experience is needed so whether you're really into collaging or not, it should be a fun and relaxing creative thing to do. There are also beer prizes! Our editor once won one and was very proud of herself for it.

🍱Food: Two of Team Seagull went to Bonsai Plant Kitchen for some birthday celebrations and had a wonderful time. Everything they had was incredible: the cocktails, the (vegan) chicken yakitori, the dirty rice, the baonut... it was all vegan, and all delicious. 10/10, highly recommend.

☕️Coffee: Dharma Coffee recently opened a new branch on North Road (opposite Infinity Foods); Team Seagull did some work from there the other week and had a lovely afternoon. Some of the best coffee we've ever had, and a very good banana and blueberry muffin. Scrumptious.
