😮💨Breathwork: Tomorrow at About Balance is a breathwork session all about using the breath to access nervous system regulation. Your nervous system is really important, especially when it comes to managing anxiety and stress, and a regulated nervous system can help with sleep, physical problems like headaches and stomach issues, self-doubt, motivation, energy, and much more. The event is open to everyone, from beginners to pros: all you need is an open mind and the ability to participate in breathing exercises and gentle movements to the best of your ability. If you want to talk to the instructor beforehand, email Jeannette here (tickets).
🚩Union event: Brighton & Hove Young Unite are holding their first event, Know Your Rights. This is an event for all workers under 30 to learn from an employment lawyer about their workers rights, as well as key issues that will come up at work. 🍱Food: If you wander down London Road you'll come across the Open Market, an absolute treasure trove of plants, books, freshly baked bread and, most importantly Smorl's Houmous Falafel & Salad Bar: they do probably the best falafel pittas we've ever had. Try the thunder garlic houmous, if you're feeling brave!
☕️Drink: There's a new café down at the Volk's Electric Railway called Milkbar and it's genuinely delightful: delicious coffee, locally-sourced apple juice, ice cream and snacks, toasties, incredible flapjacks made by a woman who ran the marathon—perfect for a pre-train snack.
