Thirty years later, they reunite to form the world’s first ABBA tribute band – in drag (tickets).

🤣Comedy: Friend of The Seagull Dian Cathal is in Brighton on Sunday for a recording of their 2022 Brighton Fringe show, Generation Why, about the best and worst of the Millennial Generation & how Pokemon ruined us. Membership and borrowing is free, though donations are encouraged for those who can afford it.

🍱Food: Team Seagull finally tried Earl's Sandwiches and it was everything we could have possibly asked for. Best bánh mì we've ever had!

🍻Drink: Our deputy editor went to a lovely pub! They said:

The Bees Mouth is lovely. Great vibe. Helpful and wonderful staff. Quirky decor. Very comfy chairs. Great place to pine over Pedro Pascal. Ask the bartender for recs!

Talk of the Town

The Great Escape & Italia Music Export Launch Party

Team Seagull were elated to be invited along to the launch event of The Great Escape at the Italian Cultural Institute in London’s beautiful Belgravia. Why not in Brighton, you might be asking? Because London has a gorgeous Italian Cultural Institute, and it made for a simply delightful venue for the night’s proceedings.

With cocktails from Nohrlund (a Danish company, but we won’t hold that against them), we had an entertaining evening listening to industry hotshots talking about the upcoming festival, and schmoozing with the attendees (and the bar staff, who loaded us up with cocktails to take away). We could not be more excited about the festival coming up in just two weeks, and we are beyond grateful to The Great Escape and the Italia Music Export for hosting such a dynamic, delicious, and devastatingly fun evening.
